Abacus children are very enthusiastic about sports. Apart from the annual sports day they participate in many inter house and inter school events. This includes Basketball & Football tournaments, athletics, swimming, rowing.
Sports Day itself is a major event! All students belong to one of 4 different houses, and competition both for individual and team events is quite intense among all the age groups. And there's always an event for teachers and parents as well!
We have special coaches for our Football & Basketball teams to bring in the discipline and dedication required for serious sporting activity.

The Abacus football team is quite active in the local Soccer League, and won the Best Sportsmanship award in 2001. The under-10 and under-12 Cricket Teams have also played extensively at the inter school level. The Abacus Basketball team won the local league.
